Posted by: John Temple on 26th July 2024

We may not have had consistent sunshine just yet this year, but with the school summer holidays beginning, there is plenty to do in and around Sutton this summer for all ages and interests. We’ve said goodbye to our usual plumbing and heating topics this month to pull together our top picks for Summer 2024 activities around Sutton:

Sutton Sports Village

Mix fun and fitness for all ages at Sutton Sports Village. Located within Rose Hill Park is Sutton Sports Village, a state-of-the-art sports and fitness facility offering a wide range of games, sports and activities. The first of its kind in Sutton, the Sports Village has a trampoline and play park ideal for children and teens. And for adults/parents, the list is endless, with spin classes, fitness studios and indoor tennis courts all available.

Visit their website for more details and to book.

Surbiton Raceway

Over in nearby Worcester Park is Surbiton Raceway – a professional standard 700m go karting circuit incorporating all the thrills of straights, bends and rises. No matter your karting ability, you’re sure to have a blast at one of their Grand Prix or Repercharge races. Although the track is more suited to teenage years and above, the minimum age for karting is 8 years.

Omniplex Cinema Sutton

If the excitement of trampolining or the thrill of go karting isn’t your thing, Sutton’s Omniplex Cinema offers you a more relaxed afternoon or evening out (and helps you avoid the poor weather should it be raining!). Formerly Empire Cinema, the location has 12 screens showing the latest blockbusters in standard, 3D and IMAX formats. With all the latest visual and audio technology, Omniplex promises the best possible way to enjoy the movies.

Some of their latest listings include Despicable Me 4, A Quiet Place: Day One and Deadpool & Wolverine. View all the listing and book on their website.

Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park and Zoo

There’s acres of fun for the kids at Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park and Zoo in Epsom. Based on the fantasy story book with the same name, Hobbledown is full of different animals and crazy characters for children to experience. The farm park promises an extraordinary day out for the little ones with farm and zoo animals, adventure play villages, jumping pillows and swings and much more!

Cheam Park

Want a more relaxing, outdoorsy day out this summer? Then look no further than nearby Cheam Park. Based on the grounds of Cheam Park House which was demolished after the second World War, Cheam Park is well suited to walkers and cyclists alike with its vast open space and nature. It’s suitable for the kids too thanks to its large playground, sports pitches and wooden trim trail – plus the café is open 7 days a week offering refreshments and even stone baked pizza!

Jungle Island Adventure Golf

At Horton Park Golf Club, you’ll find the brand new jungle themed 18 hole crazy golf course. The 18 holes take you around the lagoon, through the cave and over the winding stream. Gary the Gorilla and Sylvia the Snake are waiting to greet the little ones, so take down your fellow explorers for a fun-filled outdoor experience. Suitable for ages 4+.
